Compliance method

What the Compliance tab shows
Every resource has a “Compliance” tab that answers, for the European Union, the United States and China, the questions a company asks before using an AI resource: personal data, copyright, AI law, licence, security and hosting.
The information comes from what the author declares in the publishing form. Contexte Tech only reads it against each region's law.
States
Verified: reviewed by Contexte Tech (or known to Contexte Tech, such as hosting).
Declared: provided by the author, not reviewed.
Check: provided, but the region's law leaves doubt depending on use (for example web-collected content in the United States).
To complete: information is missing. Not applicable: the rule does not apply to this kind of resource.
A green dot means every section of the region is verified or declared; orange means some remain to check or complete.
Personal data
The author states whether the resource contains personal data: none, fictional, anonymised or real. Real data requires a legal basis.

Copyright
The author states the content origin: own work, AI-generated then reviewed, licensed sources, web collection or mixed.
European Union: web collection is accepted only if the author confirms that text and data mining opt-outs were respected. United States: fair use for training is being litigated, so the section shows “Check”. China: training data must come from lawful sources, same treatment.
- Copyright Directive 2019/790 (Article 4, text and data mining) ↗
- US Copyright Office: copyright and AI ↗

AI law
For datasets, models and LoRA, the tab prepares the training data summary items: type, number of examples, language, origin, year, personal data.
European Union: AI Act, public summary following the European AI Office template. United States: California AB 2013. China: generative AI measures and AI-generated content labelling.

Licence, security and hosting
The licence is translated into simple rules (commercial use, credit, share alike). Security shows what a tool can do on the machine (read, modify, send, execute), as declared by the author. Hosting is known to Contexte Tech: in France, at Scaleway.
Limits
Indicative summary as of 30/09/2026. These laws change; this page is updated whenever a change is taken into account.
The Compliance tab is neither a certification nor legal advice. Before commercial or sensitive use, have your case checked by a lawyer.
